The King’s invitation |
| At a widow’s house in a Last Frontier area, a group meets every week. They are made up of people from many ethnic backgrounds, but they have two things in common: They all are poor, and they all want to know the truth about God. They hear stories from the Bible, and they are hungry to know more. Many of these people do not feel welcome in a church building, but they somehow recognize that at the widow’s house, they hear something that touches their hearts and meets their needs. Some of those who attend are close to entering the kingdom, but they hesitate because they fear they are not good enough for kingdom citizenship. Please pray that the walls of cultural prejudice and pride will be broken through and that these people will be able to see that there are no preconditions to entering the kingdom except to accept the invitation of the King. http://imb.org/main/pray/ |

God's Word |
 |
When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. - Matthew 6:5-6
